From the organization’s website

NAMSS is committed to enhancing the professional development of and recognition for professionals in the medical staff and credentialing services field. The medical services profession has evolved over the past 41 years to where we are today – a true profession that spans a wide range of employment settings and requires a specific knowledge base and professional competencies. The NAMSS membership includes more than 6,000 medical staff and credentialing services professionals from medical group practices, hospitals, managed care organizations, and Credentialing Verification Organizations (CVOs).

Through our education, advocacy, and commitment to patient safety, NAMSS continues to support Medical Service Professionals (MSP’s), our members, and the healthcare industry.

MSPs are the gatekeepers of patient safety, ensuring quality care through the credentialing and privileging of healthcare providers in an ever-changing industry. MSPs must be ready to innovate and adapt to new responsibilities, motivated to expand our knowledge, and most importantly focused on the future of patient safety.

ACUTE CARE, INC.  participates in NAMSS via it’s Iowa affiliate, the Iowa Association of Medical Staff Services

The Iowa Association of Medical Staff Services, an affiliate of the National Association Medical Staff Services, was founded in 1993 by a group of enthusiastic medical staff service professionals throughout the state.

Their objectives in forming the organization were to provide the opportunity for continuing education, to promote the improvement of professional knowledge and skills by uniting persons who are engaged in medical staff activities throughout the State Association, and to support the mission of the National Association.

The Iowa Association has grown and flourished in both membership and educational opportunities. IAMSS provides a forum for networking through its services and benefits in the increasingly complex field of medical staff services.

ACUTE CARE, INC.  is grateful to NAMSS for the value it provides to key members of our team, and supports its mission, To enhance the professional development and recognition of the medical services profession through education and advocacy.
