Earlier this month, Lafayette Hospital + Clinics in Darlington, Wisconsin, was named one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) in the country for 2025 by the National Rural Health Association, a recognition that highlights exceptional performance in quality, patient outcomes, and timely care.
The honor is based on the Chartis Center for Rural Health’s Rural Hospital Performance INDEX, which evaluates more than 1,300 CAHs nationwide. Lafayette stood out for its strong commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible care to the rural communities it serves.
