Rural Health Transformation Program

The Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program, a new $50 billion initiative from CMS, aims to strengthen healthcare in rural communities across the country. Through this program, states can develop and implement long-term plans focused on improving access, sustainability, and innovation in rural care by tackling key challenges like provider shortages, infrastructure gaps, and limited care coordination.

By fostering partnerships between state agencies, hospitals, and healthcare organizations, the RHT Program encourages collaborative solutions that build stronger, more connected systems of care. This initiative represents a significant step toward ensuring that rural populations have the same quality, accessibility, and continuity of healthcare as urban areas. STATUS supports these efforts to build a more resilient healthcare future for rural communities and we are excited to see the impact this program will have. Click the link below to learn more!
