Floyd County Medical Center (FCMC) continues to make progress on its $40 million expansion, slated for completion in Spring 2026. The new additions will include a new main entrance, atrium, drive‑through canopy, and three‑story clinic.
Once finished, the renovated facility will co-locate hospital services with a rural health family practice, urgent care, outpatient specialist clinics, lab, and therapy departments all under one roof, making healthcare even more accessible for their community.
This expansion also introduces new providers and enhanced services, including behavioral health support, addiction medicine, speech and occupational therapy, infusion and oncology capabilities, and improved parking and patient flow . We applaud FCMC’s leadership and staff for their forward-thinking vision and dedication, as this ambitious project brings convenience, specialization, and excellence in care to the people of Charles City and surrounding communities.
